The Perks and Pitfalls of Parenting at an Older Age
I initially approached this story topic - parenting at an older age - with no small amount of trepidation. As a 49-year-old, would it be embarrassing to publicize the fact I had a seven-month-old son at home? How worried should I be about the likelihood that I would not be alive to see him thrive well into his adulthood? However, our research and interviews for this report made me realize I am not alone. Moreover, I realized it's OK to talk about our fears, concerns, and motivations for “going back to the parenting well” at an older age. This story ended up being intensely personal, and cathartic experience- and led to one of the most rewarding fulfilling reports of my 27-year journalism career. Thank you for your consideration.

This is Reggie Randolph, seen with his daughter, in a photo taken back in 2016. Reggie’s time and energy, not mention his relationships with loved ones - have all been whittled away by the effects of drug addiction, mental illness, along with a myriad of medical issues…including pulmonary disease, asthma, and failing eyesight. Reggie, now 58 years old, recently called us from Rikers Island jail...

The woman who reigned as the Queen of Soul stood for something. You could feel the pain, the compassion, and the honesty in every note.

Anyone and everyone should need some evidence to support their accusations. Such when did the police become exempt from being reasonable? To just take an officer at his word would not be equal protection. Citizens have rights our servants have duties and obligations.

This is how the cops lie on you and the judge believes them. It's very hard to prove you didn't do what the cops claim without video. In many cases you have to pled to a lesser charge to get your live back together even if you are totally innocent

No rational, self-respecting cop wakes up one random day after years on the force and SUDDENLY decides to start lying on his reports. This is not the first time he has lied about an arrest; *this is simply the first time his victim could prove it.*
